hashtag art happy

  Stephanie says: First off, thank you Michele for the wonderful ATC. It's absolutely beautiful, and I love it.

   Secondly; I went to the Affordable Art Fair last week. It's a twice a year event held in Singapore at the F1 Pit Building. I saw plenty of art pieces that inspired me, met some wonderful people, and had a great time at the event. Here's a selfie of me standing outside the building. #ArtHappy

Recently, I've been playing around with watercolour washes.
A friend of mine is probably going to get me a set of Peerless watercolours, and I'm excited to try them out.

A tile I did for my godmother for her birthday. She loves colours, so I thought this would suit her.
Done on an Apprentice tile. I might add shading to the "Mooka" later...
Tripoli tile for Diva's Challenge.
  I chickened out of last week's challenge... "Just leave most of the tile blank" is just too simple of an instruction... My brain started to over-think and I didn't know what tangle to use... I have no issues with leaving most of the tile blank if that's what looks good, though. Is that weird? Do you have the same issue sometimes? Let me know in the comments section below.

  Looking through last week's submissions for Diva's Challenge was really fun, though. So many different tiles. So much prettiness. Thanks for looking~

      I couldn't draw evenly spaced Tripoli, so I did a more differently shaped one. But I think I got the hang of how to draw evenly spaced Tripolis. I shall post those tiles soon in another post. :)

    With Zentangle, don't overthink anything. Let it flow and go where it wants to go. Challenges are just suggestions, in my mind anyway. Sometimes I don't even read the whole directions and go completely in the wrong direction. It doesn't matter though because we still enjoy the creating and sharing. You have a wonderful sense of color and you will love those Peerless watercolors. Enjoy!

      Hahaha. Yes. That's very true.
      And there are no mistakes in Zentangle. :)
      I've just about figured out a way to draw even Tripolis, though. So I guess with practice, you'll get better at tangles.

    I love your comment about last weeks Diva challenge and the fear of simplicity;-) I didn't do mine until this week for similar reasons. Anyhoo, your tiles are fantastic. I love how different they are and the bold colors and line work. The blue one is my favorite.
    What a lovely surprise to see my ATC at the top of the page! Thanks so much for swapping with me. I love your ATC.

      Same thing with me! I recently did a tile that fit last week's "simplicity" theme too. So it's not that I have an issue with leaving the tile blank, it's just that my brain has too many ideas all at once when told to "just keep it simple".

      It was lovely to swap art with you. I look forward to doing it again sometime soon. :)
