Stephanie says: First off, thank you Michele for the wonderful ATC. It's absolutely beautiful, and I love it.
Tiles I made during the past week:
A tile made during a class I held. |
"Rixty" |
Recently, I've been playing around with watercolour washes. A friend of mine is probably going to get me a set of Peerless watercolours, and I'm excited to try them out. |
A tile I did for my godmother for her birthday. She loves colours, so I thought this would suit her. Done on an Apprentice tile. I might add shading to the "Mooka" later... |
Tripoli tile for Diva's Challenge. |
Looking through last week's submissions for Diva's Challenge was really fun, though. So many different tiles. So much prettiness. Thanks for looking~
Beautiful tiles and I am glad that you had fun at the fair.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words~
DeleteHow wonderful all your art is. Great Tripoli for the Diva and I love that Rixty.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for saying so.
DeleteI'm still working on making my Tripoli look even. :x
beautiful work
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for saying so~
Deleteyour use of colour really brightens the tiles up and your drawing is lovely.
ReplyDeleteWatercolours are always fun to work with when paired with tangles. :)
DeleteYou were quite busy and made beautiful tiles. Your Tripoli tile is great.
ReplyDeleteThank you for saying so.
DeleteI couldn't draw evenly spaced Tripoli, so I did a more differently shaped one. But I think I got the hang of how to draw evenly spaced Tripolis. I shall post those tiles soon in another post. :)
With Zentangle, don't overthink anything. Let it flow and go where it wants to go. Challenges are just suggestions, in my mind anyway. Sometimes I don't even read the whole directions and go completely in the wrong direction. It doesn't matter though because we still enjoy the creating and sharing. You have a wonderful sense of color and you will love those Peerless watercolors. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Yes. That's very true.
DeleteAnd there are no mistakes in Zentangle. :)
I've just about figured out a way to draw even Tripolis, though. So I guess with practice, you'll get better at tangles.
Thank you for leaving a comment. I really appreciate it.
Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteThank you for saying so! :)
DeleteI love your comment about last weeks Diva challenge and the fear of simplicity;-) I didn't do mine until this week for similar reasons. Anyhoo, your tiles are fantastic. I love how different they are and the bold colors and line work. The blue one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely surprise to see my ATC at the top of the page! Thanks so much for swapping with me. I love your ATC.
hahaha
DeleteSame thing with me! I recently did a tile that fit last week's "simplicity" theme too. So it's not that I have an issue with leaving the tile blank, it's just that my brain has too many ideas all at once when told to "just keep it simple".
It was lovely to swap art with you. I look forward to doing it again sometime soon. :)
Lovely work, your watercolor washes are just beautiful.
